Queensferry Museum

Social history with a stunning view

Our Museum showcases the past and traditions of historic Queensferry, and the neighbouring village of Dalmeny. The museum has great views out onto the Firth of Forth and the Forth Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Whether your interest is social history, folk traditions or civic engineering, there’s something here for you to enjoy.

As well as permanent displays, the museum hosts temporary exhibitions, curated by community groups.

“The museum provides an excellent overview of the history of one of Scotland's most interesting and picturesque towns.” Visitor

Complimenting the views of the rail bridge are displays on this remarkable feat of engineering. Queensferry’s civic history is proudly displayed, with objects and photos of daily life, as well as local traditions particular to ‘the Ferry’.
