BRIT-Award winner's homecoming show raises money for War Child
Fife-born Jacob Alon, recent winner of the Critics' Choice Award at the BRITS, will perform at Assembly Rooms next Friday 27 February.
We are overjoyed to be hosting Scotland's own Jacob Alon, a monumental talent from Fife who in January won the prestigious BRITs Critics' Choice award, supported by BBC Radio 1.
Jacob's intricate guitar work, soaring falsetto melodies and earthy production has drawn comparisons to the likes of Nick Drake, Adrianne Lenker and Jeff Buckley. Their debut album In Limerance earned them a nomination for the Mercury Prize, and a win for Scotland's first BBC Introducing Artist of the Year.
Jacob will take to the Assembly Rooms stage on Friday 27 February for Brits Week, raising money for War Child. Support for this event comes from Glasgow local Lizzie Reid.
All proceeds from ticket sales will go towards War Child’s essential work providing aid, education, specialist mental health support, and more while standing up for the rights of children whose lives have been devastatingly affected by war.
